Gannett Sells B2B Subsidiary BridgeTower Media

Gannett has sold its business-to-business information subsidiary BridgeTower Media to LA-based private equity firm Transom Capital Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

BridgeTower Media publishes business information, research, events and marketing solutions in more than 25 local, regional and industry B2B markets.

The company areas of focus include the legal, business, construction, legislative, pet retail and home-furnishings sectors.

BridgeTower Media owns more than 40 print and digital brands, such as Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, NJBIZ, Arizona Capitol Times, The Daily Record (MD) and Furniture Today.

BridgeTower hosts more than 250 events annually.

The deal will advance BridgeTower’s investments in technology and accelerate its growth plans, according to the company. 



“We’re excited to partner with Transom to expand our business and strengthen our commitment to the markets we serve,” stated Adam Reinebach, CEO-president of BridgeTower Media.

Reinebach will retain his title and responsibilities under the company’s new ownership. 

There are currently no plans for any operational or personnel changes.
