Swedish home furnishings retailer IKEA North America has renewed its contract with Horizon Media through 2006. There was no review.
The agency was awarded media buying and planning for
IKEA's Los Angeles market in April 2004, and won the U.S. media buying and planning account in February 2005.
Horizon will handle Communication Channel Planning, all media buying, and local
promotions for IKEA. The agency has launched four new stores since winning the work, and now supports 22 stores in 14 markets, with an additional two stores opening Spring/Summer 2006.
Billings
are estimated between $50 and $60 million, and the account continues to be serviced out of Horizon's New York and Los Angeles offices.
