Amazon is being sued in federal court for allegedly paying one of its senior managers less than similarly qualified white peers. The suit claims executives “used racial stereotypes to justify
denying her opportunities for promotion,” per
The Seattle Times. Charlotte Newman, a Black woman who works in Washington, D.C. for Amazon Web Services, also alleges sexual harassment and
assault by a former Amazon director.
