Rocket Mortgage’s philanthropic arm and its founder’s charitable foundation are donating $500 million to charitable efforts in Detroit over the next 10 years. The first allocation of $15
million will pay off property tax debit of 20,000 low-income Detroit homeowners. The groups plan to remain connected to the homeowners supported through the Detroit Tax Relief Fund “to shape
future investments in economic opportunity and mobility,” per an announcement.
