Kath Pay, founder of Holistic Email Marketing, has been named thought leader of the year by the ANA Email Experience Council (EEC).

Pay -- author of the book Holistic Email Marketing and a noted speaker and trainer in the field -- also is the owner and creator of one of the original email marketing platforms, Ezemail, according to the EEC. 

The finalist was Ryan Phelan, co-founder and chief strategist of RPE Origin. 

In addition, Scott Cohen, email marketing manager at Purple, was named the EEC Stefan Pollard Email Marketer of the Year.  

Cohen “brings both award-winning copywriting chops and industry-renowned expertise in email strategy and execution to running a growing email marketing program,” the EEC states. 

The finalist was Corrina Cohen, marketing automation developer, Caleres Inc.
