Spark Foundry Taps Coca-Cola's Carlisle To Lead Commerce Media, Marketing

Publicis Media's Spark Foundry unit is expanding its capabilities in commerce media and marketing, and has tapped a commerce all star to lead it. April Carlisle has joined as executive vice president-commerce.

She joins from her own short-run consultancy, ACX Consulting, but made her name as vice president-marketing for the Coca-Cola Company, and previously held senior commerce and shopper marketing positions at Publicis' Arc Worldwide unit, and Procter & Gamble.

In her new role, Carlisle is responsible for integrating Spark Foundry's "strategic commerce capability, industry-leading insights, and outcome-based omni-channel commerce solutions in all areas of media—with a focus on retailer media—content planning and optimization," the agency said in a statement announcing her appointment.

Based in Atlanta, Carlisle is also a professor of marketing at Northwestern University's Medill Integrated Marketing Communications program.
