
Wine expert and Financial
Times columnist Jancis Robinson has sold her online media brand to Recurrent Ventures. Terms were not disclosed.
The London-based JancisRobinson.com will join Saveur
and Domino under the BobVila.com at
Recurrent.
Robinson will continue as editor-in-chief, overseeing a team of more than 15 contributors worldwide, including seven designated Masters of Wine. And the business, which
will remain subscriber-supported, will expand its digital initiatives early next year.
"We're now at the point where we need a bigger platform to see the site reach its full
potential,” Robinson states. “This partnership will allow me to focus on what I enjoy most: tasting and writing about wine.”

Robinson brand provides free guides to wine
regions, grape varieties, and vintages and tips on how to get the most out of wines.
In addition, members also have access to over 200,000 wine reviews, a and an exclusive version
of The Oxford Companion to Wine, the resource of which Robinson is the founding editor.
"This important acquisition diversifies our digital subscription businesses, provides
Saveur with a great companion brand, and expands our global presence — which is something we've been working toward for some time,” states Lance Johnson, CEO of
Recurrent.
Robinson, who has won multiple prizes, including six James Beard awards, will continue her weekly column for the
Financial Times.
