'L'Officiel' Debuts Virtual Museum To Celebrate Centennial

L’Officiel magazine will celebrate its 100th anniversary this week by launching a virtual museum metaverse: The House of Dreams will chronicle fashion history over the last century and look at what’s next.

The museum will open on Thursday with an online vernissage (private viewing of paintings) featuring L’Officiel global cover stars Jessica Chastain and Maluma.

The virtual experience also showcases artworks from the magazine’s 100-year archives. House of Dreams will initially feature 18 galleries and offer ongoing programming and new exhibitions unveiled periodically.

In addition, visitors will have access to galleries spotlighting Dior, Ferragamo, Valentino and other brands.

Selected L’Officiel artworks will be exhibited as NFTs, including the fall 2021 centennial issue cover featuring Jessica Chastain. Also, the museum will have a permanent presence on The Sandbox, where  L'Officiel has purchased digital land.
