Mike Law, a long-time veteran of Dentsu media agencies, has been named U.S. CEO of its Carat unit, succeeding Angela Steele, who left to take a senior role at rival Publicis.

In a related move, Dentsu Media promoted Cara Lewis to U.S. Chief Investment Officer from executive vice president of U.S. media investment for Dentsu's media agencies.

Law, who had been president of Dentsu International's Amplifi USA unit, previously served as president of Dentsu Aegis Network, and has worked at various incarnations of Carat since 2000.

He began his career in advertising as a network TV buyer at Boston-based Arnold Worldwide in 1998.

He continues to report jointly to Dentsu Media Americas CEO Doug Rozen and Carat Global Client and Brand President Fiona Lloyd.
