Minneapolis-based Colle McVoy has been named media agency-of-record for modern furniture designer and retailer Blu Dot. The incumbent was Minneapolis-based Ciceron.
Billings were not disclosed, but Colle McVoy will handle global media strategy, investment and analytics across all channels, including both brand-building and performance-marketing campaigns.
Blu Dot Vice President-Digital and Retail Operations Mike Wodtke cited Colle McVoy's "unique approach of blending data-led solutions with media creativity” as the "winning combination" that won the agency the business.
The agency said its media billings have "more than tripled" over the last five years due to its Media & Data Science practice, including more than a dozen new clients over the last 18 months.
Founded in Minneapolis in 1997, Blu Dot saw an opportunity in the modern furniture, home and office furnishings market between the ultra high-end and value priced retailers.
It sells its furniture both online and through Blue Dot sores in the U.S. and internationally, and has won numerous design awards and had its work exhibited in prominent museums.
