Scripps Networks' Home & Garden Television launched its "Dream Home Giveaway" sweepstakes Thursday, also with an accompanying 360-degree tour site at HGTV.com. Similar to other 360 tour applications,
visitors can move from room to room and turn 360 degrees to explore the home's digs. Certain products on display are "hotspotted"--highlighted with a red outline. When users click on the highlighted
items, information about them appears in an adjacent window. The cross-promotion initiative will run for six weeks. Last year's Dream Home promotion, from December of 2004 through the end of February
2005, drew 52.5 million page views--making up 13 percent of total page views to HGTV.com during that period. Time spent on the site averaged an astounding 20 minutes per visitor who consumed an
average of 34 page views.
