Citing The Ad Industry's 'Greatest Talent Shortage,' Wavemaker Adds Two Senior Posts

GroupM's Wavemaker unit Thursday announced two senior hires in its U.S. operations intended to "reduce redundant work" for its teams amid a the ad industry's "greatest talent shortage."

Seow Leng Porter and Mathew Madampil join as executive directors responsible for client solutions and agency operations, respectively.

Porter joins from GroupM sister agency Mediacom, where she was a managing partner and group director in its Los Angeles office. She previously held senior media roles at Starcom, 20th Century Fox, Carat, and other agencies.

She is based in L.A. and reports to Wavemaker Chief Client Officer Nancy Tortorella.

Madampil joins from iHeartMedia, where he was senior vice president-digital solutions, but previously held senior media operations roles at Dentsu, Carat, and Omnicom Media Group's Annalect.

He is based in New York and reports to Wavemaker COO Sharb Farjami.
