Ever Get Frustrated With Clumsy Video Searches? AC Business Media Partners For Solution

AC Business Media, with brands in a variety of B2B markets including heavy construction, asphalt, paving, landscape, and manufacturing, is partnering with the video analysis and management platform CLIPr to enhance the ability of audiences to search within recorded videos.

Videos will be searchable by transcription, topics and subtopics, the companies said in a press release last week. ACBM, based in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, will use CLIPr’s machine learning algorithms to index content uploaded to the platform, making it searchable. The technology uses audio and visual cues to drive its content indexing.

ACBM chief digital officer Kris Heineman said the CLIPr technology solves a common problem for video publishers and their audiences. “We are using CLIPr to improve the searchability of our deep catalog of video content, making it much easier for our staff and readers to surface and engage with it,” he said. “This content is valuable and informative, but underutilized because it’s very hard to access specific moments of content without skipping through manually.”

The platform also offers analytics capabilities, giving ACBM granular insights into viewership behaviors, including total video engagement, total hours watched, and topics and subtopics that are viewed the most.

"By simply making video content searchable and more accessible, ACBM improves internal efficiency, bolsters customer engagement and drives insights and benefits for its advertisers,” said CLIPr CEO Humphrey Chen

“Video consumption has increased exponentially since the pandemic began, and it’s time that this content became more respectful of people’s time,” he added.
