Endeavor Business Media, the Nashville, Tennessee-based
diversified B2B media company, last week announced a partnership with the Resource Innovation Institute for an inaugural Resilient Harvests Conference that will take place in November.
The
conference is intended to help build consensus in the controlled-environment agriculture sector (defined as a combination of engineering, plant science, and greenhouse control technologies
intended to optimize plant-growing systems, and production efficiency), together with the cannabis-cultivation community.
More than 400 industry leaders will be in attendance, Endeavor said in
a press release, including growers, governmental policy makers, utilities and efficiency-program operators, facility owners and operators, and vendors such as LED manufacturers and HVAC suppliers.
The Resource Innovation Institute, founded in 2016, is a data-driven nonprofit whose mission is to measure, verify and support efficient agricultural ideas, with a vision of resilient harvests for
the next hundred years. Its members are a consortium of architects and engineers, growers and operators, researchers and analysts.

“Our experience working with key horticultural-market
actors on government policies, utility programs and producer practices has shown us the power of stakeholder collaboration,” Resource Innovation Institute Executive Director Derek Smith said in
the press release. “Now, with California set to launch codes and standards that will become a global blueprint for all agricultural segments that grow in controlled environments, we are pleased
to partner with Endeavor to bring key stakeholders together for the critical conversations at the right time.”
