B2B Publisher Endeavor Makes Fourth Acquisition Of 2022

Endeavor Business Media on Monday announced its fourth acquisition of 2022, buying Construction Business Media, the publisher of Architectural Products and Architectural SSL magazines.

Both brands serve the architectural design and construction communities and complement Endeavor’s existing portfolio in the lighting, buildings and construction markets, Endeavor said in a press release.

The terms were not disclosed, and Endeavor did not indicate whether the owners of CBM, which is based in Palatine, Illinois, are staying on.

Architectural Products works with building-product manufacturers to create and carry to market vital product information. It launched in 2003.

Architectural SSL focuses on the development, application, specifications and design of LEDs and solid-state lighting throughout a built environment. Readers include architects, lighting designers, lighting consultants, sales agents, interior designers, building owners, property managers, and others seeking creative vision and insights on best practices.

“Architects were the most requested audience from our existing clients that we couldn’t deliver until now,” Endeavor CEO Chris Ferrell said in a tweet.

“With a collective readership of more than 80,000 professionals, the addition of Architectural Products and Architectural SSL significantly expands Endeavor’s reach in the market, providing even more innovative platforms where designers and builders can seek information, collaborate and connect," Endeavor Advanced Technology Group Executive Vice President Lester Craft said.

Added Endeavor Executive Vice President Reggie Lawrence: “[We] will now provide comprehensive coverage of the architectural design and buildings’ facilities marketplace to our growing audience.”

Endeavor, founded in 2017, is one of the most diversified B2B publishers in the U.S., with brands in more than 20 markets. It is based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Gary Redmond, co-publisher of CBM, called Endeavor a natural fit. “This enables Endeavor’s broadly established stable of communication methods to be applied to our well established, widely used and award-winning brands bringing the design and architectural communities more of what they desire: a credible and reliable source of product, material and systems information.”
