With baseball fans returning to stadiums at 100% capacity for the entire season — the first time since 2019 — hot dog and sausage sales are expected to rebound. “Hot dogs and sausages are consistently among the most ordered food items at MLB stadiums,” per NYSportsJournalism.com. “In 2022, MLB fans will consume an estimated 19.1 million hot dogs and nearly five million sausages at games this season, according to the the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council.” Per the council, the top hot dog consuming U.S. cites are Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Houston, Atlanta, Washington DC and Phoenix.
