
Amy
Armstrong, global CEO of IPG Mediabrands' Initiative unit, has joined client Amazon as director of global customer development for Amazon Ads.
In her new role, Amazon said Armstrong will
oversee the retail media giant's global agency and global accounts teams.
“Amy is no stranger to Amazon, having led the company’s agency of record as the CEO of Initiative,”
Amazon Ads Vice President-Global Sales Alan Moss said in a statement announcing her appointment this morning. “She will bring a wealth of experience and a new perspective to collaborating
with agency holding companies and our largest global accounts.”
Armstrong, who joined Initiative as U.S. president in 2017 from president of BPN, was
named global CEO last year.
