Netflix Taps Ubisoft To Add Three More Mobile Games

Netflix has partnered with French video game company Ubisoft to create three mobile games exclusively for Netflix subscribers.

The new games will expand on the Ubisoft’s popular Valiant Hearts, Mighty Quest and Assassin’s Creed game universes.

They will be free to Netflix subscribers, and contain no ads.

A Valiant Hearst sequel will be released in January 2023, and Might Quest sequel will also be released sometime in 2023.

The release timing for the Assassin’s Creed game — which is in addition to a live-action series set in that universe being developed exclusively for Netlix  — was not revealed.

Netflix is shooting to have a library of 50-plus game titles available to subscribers by the end of this year, although it has not specified to what extent, if any, the games will be used as a perk to help attract sign-ups for its reduced-price, advertising-supported tier when that debuts in early 2023, as well as new subscribers for its full-price, no-ads service..

Netflix has also been acquiring gaming studios, including Boss Fight Entertainment, Next Games and Night School Studio.
