IPG Creates C-Level Commerce Role, Taps Accenture's Zoghby To Fill It

Interpublic Group has created a new holding company-level role overseeing its "commerce strategy," and has tapped rival Accenture's Global Lead for Omni-Channel Commerce Jeriad Zoghby to fill it.

Zoghby, who is based in Austin, will serve as Interpublic's Chief Commerce Strategy Officer and reports to Interpublic CEO Philippe Krakowsky.

In his new role, Zoghby will oversee commerce strategy for the holding company, "connecting the existing channel and platform expertise across the IPG portfolio and helping to identify opportunities for further growth," Interpublic said in a statement, adding, "Working with key agency and client business leaders, Zoghby will orchestrate how the company supports clients as they connect commerce solutions to the full breadth of their marketing programs."

Zoghby, who most recently served on the Accenture Song team, is an 11-year veteran of Accenture Interactive.

Prior to that he was with Merkle (now part of Dentsu) and held senior positions in a variety of non-agency organizations.

Interpublic said the new C-level commerce role follows accelerated investments in commerce, D2C, marketing technology and retail media, including last year's acquisition of RafterOne.
