The Washington Post has restructured its Business desk, in an effort to create clearer lanes of authority on its tech team, Business Editor Lori Montgomery announced last
week.
Christina Passariello will serve as deputy business editor for technology and personal finance and also lead an internal task force focused on how AI will affect
the Post’sjournalism and digital strategy, especially search,
In addition, Passariello will take on personnel finance portfolio, having launced Help Desk, the
Post’s signature personal tech vertical.
She will work alongside Deputy Business Editor Damian Paletta, who will continue to have responsibility for economics, health coverage and
breaking news.
Passariello spent 14 years at the Wall Street Journal, serving as deputy tech editor and a foreign correspondent in Paris in addition to other roles.
