Wendy’s has brought
back its $3 breakfast promotion, but only for a short time.
The deal includes a Bacon or Sausage, Egg and Swiss Croissant with a small side of seasoned potatoes for that price. That’s a discount since the sandwiches usually cost $4.39 and the potatoes cost $1.79 at the chain. The deal can either be realized in-store or via the Wendy’s app.
But consumers have to act fast to cash in on the deal, which will last only until June 4.
Wendy’s offered the same promotion last October through Nov. 30.
Wendy’s potatoes are the most-mentioned breakfast item across Wendy’s social media channels, according to a press release from the company.
Wendy’s just introduced its breakfast menu three years ago, as the pandemic hit. The chain first offered breakfast in 1985, but pulled back after nine months. It did so again in 2007 and then 2012. Both efforts were short-lived because Wendy’s wasn’t meeting its profitability targets.

The chain’s stated goal for breakfasts was reaching $3,000 to $3,500 in sales per outlet per week. In the fourth-quarter of 2022, Wendy’s reached that goal, according to executives.
Wendy’s isn’t the only one offering breakfast deals. At McDonald’s, customers can get any two items from a limited menu, including a Sausage Biscuit, a Sausage McMuffin, a Sausage Burrito and Hash Browns for $3.
Taco Bell also saw a bump in sales in its fourth quarter as the chain ran an ad featuring comedian Pete Davidson that drove a 9% jump in breakfast sales for the chain.
