G/O Media has mamed Rory Carroll as editor in chief of Jalopnik, an automotive news and opinion site.

Carroll is returning as editor in chief, havinv served in that role from 2020 to 2022. More recently, he worked in an executive capacity at RM Sotheby.

Bob Sorokanich, previous Editor in Chief of Jalopnik, will remain in a transitional capacity until June. 

Prior to joining Jalopnik, was at executive editor and publisher at Autoweek. He also contributed to the New York Times’Wheels blog.
