Bright Mountain Media Projects Major Revenue Gain From Big Village Acquisitions

Bright Mountain Media, a global holding company with investments in digital publishing, advertising technology and other services, posted Q1 revenue of $1.5 million, a 57% drop from the $3.5 million posted for Q1 2022. 

The gross margin fell by 70% YoY to $528,000. The net loss was $3.8 million, versus $2.1 million for the same period last year. 

“2023 has begun as a year of transformation for Bright Mountain,” says Matt Drinkwater, Chief Executive Officer of the company. 

Drinkwater notes that the company announced the asset acquisition of Big Village’s Insights and Agency Divisions, bringing 200 employees on board. 

“The acquisition is expected to add approximately $50 million of annualized revenue and to be accretive to adjusted EBITDA,” Drinkwater adds.

The company believes that “data driven consumer insights, which are the core of Big Village Insights, are "perfect complements to both our publishing and ad tech divisions."

Bright Mountain’s other media assets include Wild Sky Media and BrightStream.
