Kate Scott-Dawkins has quietly been named president of GroupM's Business Intelligence unit, the company disclosed as part of a press briefing for next week's release of the agency's mid-year advertising forecast update, which she authored.
Scott-Dawkins, who previously served as global director of the unit, effectively succeeded Brian Wieser as head of the unit when he left GroupM in January.
A GroupM spokesman said Scott-Dawkins received the promotion in the beginning of the year and her new title was announced internally in January.
Wieser has since gone on to form Madison and Wall, a consultancy and newsletter publishing business.
Still unclear is whether GroupM will resume publishing the weekly "This Week Next Week" podcast, previously co-hosted by Scott-Dawkins and Wieser, which was put on hiatus after its Jan. 27 episode, the last the two co-hosted together.
Originally, GroupM execs said Wieser might continue with the podcast or at least show up as a regular guest, but a spokesman said its fate is "TBD.
"We know how valuable this format is. we’d like to bring it back but not yet sure when."
