The Oakland Press, a Michigan daily, has stopped Parade in its e-editions.
The announcement was made on Sunday by Don
Wyatt content vice president and editor, Oakland Press.
“Today is the last day we will include ParadeMagazine with our digital replica
publication, also called the e-edition,” Wyatt wrote.
“Parade ended print distribution last year. Since then, we have continued to include the magazine with our
e-editions,” Wyatt wrote.
Wyatt continued, “But our analytics show that reader engagement with Parade has been low, and the cost of
licensing Parade has steadily increased. As a result, we will no longer be including Parade with our e-editions.
The news came just months after The Arena
Group acquired Parade’s parent, AMG/Parade, for $16.3 million.

The Arena Group announced the shift to digital in an email to newspapers that
carry Parade.
"We are infusing fresh energy across our brands in all formats to make sure they can meet both the moment and the needs of their readers in new and
innovative ways," said Kevin Craig, Arena's senior vice president for newspaper relations, according to The Times Union, which carries Parade.
Wyatt adds,
“While surveys show that readers are most interested in unique local news, we will continue to offer high-quality features and entertainment-related content on our websites and in our weekend
print editions.”
