McDonald’s is ready for its close-up.

Today the chain launches the “As Featured In" meal, a collection of fan-favorite menu items that have made appearances throughout films, television shows and music videos. The meal is available in over 100 countries and includes promotional experiences, customer merchandise and new online content.

The meals offers a choice of 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, Quarter Pounder with Cheese or Big Mac sandwich, along with medium fries, a medium soft drink and the newly rebranded Sweet 'N Sour Sauce.

Promotional McDonald’s bags will list entertainment properties in which the bag itself appeared, such as the films “Space Jam,” “Coming to America," "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," as well as music videos like “You be Illin” by Run DMC and iconic TV shows like “Seinfeld” and “The Office” (the U.S. version).

The  Sweet 'N Sour Sauce is inspired by McDonald's next "as featured in" moment with Marvel Studios' "Loki" season two, which begins streaming Oct. 6 on Disney+. When fans scan the Sweet N' Sour Sauce lid on Snapchat, they will unlock exclusive content developed by Marvel Studios, with new content available weekly throughout the promotion. 

On-site promotions include a merchandise line developed with Palace, a London-based skate and streetwear brand that often features McDonald’s as part of its skate videos,. Starting today, fans who buy the As Featured In Meal can scan the code on the packaging to purchase pieces from the collaboration. On Aug. 18, Palace will be taking over the very-first OG McDonald's in the U.S., in Downey, California, with a pop-up fashion merch experience.

In-store, the chain is also reverting a Brooklyn McDonald's back to 1982 with McDonald's memorabilia from the era, which is a setting inspired by the upcoming “Loki.”  The experience will begin Aug. 30 and run for three days.

No mention by McDonald’s if perhaps the chain’s most famous film appearance -- in "Pulp Fiction," featuring the Royale with Cheese and Le Big Mac -- will be included in the promotion.
