House Beautiful will launch this week the third season of its true crime podcast Dark House. 

A twist on the typical podcast on fine homes, Dark House features properties that have questionable, even ghoulish histories. 

Season 3's first episode drops Sept. 13, and focuses on the Winchester Mystery House, the mansion built by Sarah Winchester, heiress of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, who made bizarre attempts to ward off evil spirits.  

The next episode, airing Sept. 20, is perhaps more “upbeat” — it is about Holiday House, Taylor Swift’s allegedly haunted home in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, the subject of her 2020 song ““the last great american dynasty” (her capitalization).  

The following podcast, scheduled for Sept. 27, explores the Biltmore Hotel, which is said to be haunted by Elizabeth Short, the so-called Black Dahlia, who was murdered in 1947. The two-part series continues the following week.  

A future two-part program starting on Nov. 8 is about the ranch that was the scene of the deadly standoff between the FBI and the Branch Davidians sect in 1993.

Dark House will also examine the scene of the Amityville Horror.
