Axel Springer SE, a digital media company active in 40 countries, is bolstering its video capability in partnership with Connatix, a video technology company that serves premium publishers and advertisers.
Connatix will provide video tools and an integrated player, ad server and exchange. The arrangement will help brands target their video campaigns against contextually relevant content, Axel Springer says.
To start, the partnership will cover Axel Springer's German properties Welt and Bild, including the Book Family, B.Z., Sport Bild, Auto Bild and Computer Bild. Presumably, it could expand to cover such Axel Springer properties as Insider and Politico.
The goal for Axel Springer is to “unlock new revenue opportunities for our media brands,” says Mathias Sanchez, senior vice president global strategic partnerships at Axel Springer.
Sanchez adds, “We look forward to leveraging Connatix's solutions in new ways as the industry continues to transform itself with the adoption of advancements like generative contextual AI."
