The Southeast Missourian has added general manager responsibilities to the portfolio of assistant publisher Lucas Presson, one of several promotions to its management team. 

Presson will be responsible for day-to-day operations at the newspaper, and at the company’s Cape Girardeau commercial printing operation. 

Since joining the Missourian in 2010, Presson has served in several roles, including editorial page editor, assistant managing edito, general manager of the company's marketing agency rustmedia.

Presson reports to Jon K. Rust, publisher, and president of Rust Communications.

"We continue to look for new opportunities that will sustain and even grow quality local journalism,” Presson says. “It's not easy but it's important work.”

In other changes, Logan Clippard will serve as advertising manager and Katelyn Dickherber as classified advertising and office manager. Gera LeGrand, advertising director, will take on a new part-time role at the end of October.
