Fashion-tech publisher Karlie Kloss has acquired i-D Magazine from Vice Media Group.
The transaction was announced in a memo by Vice CEOs Bruce Dixon and Hozefa Lokhandwala, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The terms were not revealed.
Kloss, a model and fashion entrepreneur, will become CEO of i-D. In 2020, Kloss acquired W magazine with an investors group.
Kloss has “a deep passion for technology and the intersection of fashion, media, and culture on a global basis,” the Vice memo states.
As for Vice, the memo continues, "Following the sale of i-D, VMG is well positioned to continue to cover fashion, beauty and personal style across our other channels, including through VICE.com, R29 and our other brands....”
i-D Magazine has a UK circulation of 73,000, and a European-USA-Australasia circ of almost 34,000.

Vice filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May, and was subsequently acquired by a group of creditors, including Fortress Investment Group, Soros Fund Management and Monroe Growth Capital, for an estimated $350 million.
Last week, Vice announced a restructuring plan that will lead to layoffs.
A number of Vice News shows “have reached the end of their production cycle and have not been renewed with distributors as of yet,” according to a memo obtained by Variety. “As such, we will be winding down those productions and sadly this will have an impact on certain roles.”
Kloss is married to investor-financier Joshua Kushner.
