Gannett Broadcasting Takes A Slide

Broadcasting operations for Gannett Co., which include 20 stations and a duopoly in Jacksonville, Fla., fell 11 percent to $208 million for the fourth quarter, the company said Friday. Gannett cited a $48 million-plus decline in political ad revenues as a source for the drop. Overall, Gannett said revenues jumped 6 percent to $2.1 billion in the quarter.
