IPG Mediabrands' UM unit this morning named Erin Quintana U.S. CEO. She succeeds Joe DeMiero, who has held the position since January 2022.
A UM spokesperson said DeMiero is taking a leave of absence.
Quintana, who had been UM's U.S. Chief Client Officer, reports to Andrea Suarez, who was named global CEO earlier this year in a shakeup that saw the ouster of Sasha Savic.
Quintana, a 16-year veteran of UM, joined the agency in 2007 from group director of strategy from the same position at Omnicom's OMD unit.
Earlier in her career she held media planning positions at Carat, Procter & Gamble's Clairol, and Carlson & Partners.
