Vice Media Co-CEO Lokhandwala Is Leaving

Hozefa Lokhandwala has resigned as co-CEO of Vice Media Group less than a year after taking the position.

In a memo to staff, Lokhandwala revealed that he is leaving to start “a new endeavor.”

Lokhandwala, who joined Vice in 2018, serving as chief strategy officer, was named co-CEO with Bruce Dixon after the announcement of CEO Nancy Dubuc’s departure in February of this year.

The news of Lokhandwala’s leaving comes at the end of a turbulent year for Vice.

Vice filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May, and was subsequently acquired by a group of creditors, including Fortress Investment Group, Soros Fund Management and Monroe Growth Capital, for an estimated $350 million.

Lokhandwala has previously worked for such firms as Bear Stearns and J.P. Morgan.
