The boom in non-linear viewing options took two more steps forward yesterday. Comedy Central said it would premiere a series online before it hits the air, and Showtime joined the parade of networks
offering programming on iTunes. The Comedy Central series "Live At Gotham" featuring stand-up comedy from New York will debut on the network's broadband channel MotherLoad on March 27, then hit the
over-the-air feed this summer. The network will, however, add exclusive footage for the television version. Meanwhile, Showtime said its "Sleeper Cell" and "Weeds" shows are now available on iTunes
for $1.99 an episode.
