The hunt for Pizza
Hut’s new president, which began in March, has come to an end. Today the pizza chain announced the appointment of Juan Carlos “Carl” Loredo as president of Pizza Hut U.S. Beginning
June 3, Loredo will report to Pizza Hut Division Chief Executive Officer Aaron Powell and will be responsible for driving U.S. business performance.
Loredo joins Pizza Hut after serving as
global CMO for the Wendy’s Company. During his eight years there, he oversaw digital sales growth, new activations and marketing and content campaigns. He joined Wendy’s in 2016 as vice
president of brand marketing, directing brand strategy and product development. His responsibilities grew to include overseeing creative development and advertising, media buying and social
programming.
“I love a good story, and Pizza Hut’s journey from one restaurant in Wichita, Kansas, to global cultural icon status is tremendously inspiring,” said Loredo in a
release. “It is an honor to lead Pizza Hut’s U.S. business and be a part of taking this brand forward for the next generation of customers.”

Prior to Wendy’s Loredo was
vice president of account service at The Marketing Arm, where he was in charge of the agency’s multicultural practice and focused on digital and shopper marketing strategies. Earlier in his
career he spent time at Craftmade and PepsiCo.
Loredo replaces David Graves, who left the company in March.
Wendy’s also announced today that the company’s U.S CMO, Lindsay
Radkoski, will fill Loredo’s shoes on the global senior leadership team, adding responsibilities for culinary innovation, digital marketing, customer experience, creative strategy and
storytelling as well as partnerships and social marketing to her duties.
