'Field & Stream' Publishes Its First Print Magazine In Four Years

Field & Stream, the outdoor magazine that first appeared in 1871, has returned to print with an issue out on June 5, its first in four years.

Field & Stream Journal features 160 pages of outdoor content, presented in an oversized 10x12-inch format.

This is the first new issue since Field & Stream was acquired by country music stars Eric Church and Morgan Wallen and other brand builders earlier this year.

Subscriptions to the new journal can be had through Field & Stream’s 1871 Club membership community. Non-members can buy a single-copy for $25 plus shipping.

The journal will appear biannually, and members can also have it delivered digitally.

The inaugural issue includes a story on a horse-packing adventure in British Columbia, a ranking of the best top-water lures and a column by Eric Church, called Church Country.

“Relaunching Field & Stream in print feels like opening day in more ways than one,” says Colin Kearns, editor of Field & Stream. “It’s the start of a new season and the beginning of a renewed journey with our readers.”

The buyers acquired the retail side of the trademark from Dick’s Sporting Goods and the media platform from Recurrent, thus unifying the Field & Stream brand under the same ownership for the first time in its history, the new owners said in January.
