It's All About Family For The Fun-loving Baldwins

Alec Baldwin has won three Emmys, been nominated for an Oscar and a Tony, holds the record for hosting “Saturday Night Live” (17) and is now preparing for the next stop on his show-biz journey -- TLC.

Baldwin, 66, announced on Instagram Tuesday that he is bringing his sprawling family -- seven children plus wife Hilaria, 40 -- to the TLC stable of reality shows built around large families.

With seven kids, the Baldwins will feel right at home at TLC, current home to the mega-family shows “Doubling Down With The Derricos,” with 14 children; and “OutDaughtered,” featuring two parents raising girl quintuplets.

These are only the latest in a long line of such shows on TLC, including the most famous of the bunch, “Jon & Kate Plus 8” and “19 Kids and Counting.”

The Baldwins’ show -- titled simply “The Baldwins” -- is expected to premiere next year.

“We’re inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs; the good, the bad, the wild and the crazy,” says Alec and his wife in a promotional video posted to Instagram. “Home is the place we love to be most.

“We are the Baldwins, and we’re going to TLC! God help you all!” Alec says on the video as various children scream and cavort untamed around him.

“Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have been making headlines since they were married nearly 12 years ago,” said a TLC announcement.

“In this TLC ‘follow-doc’ series, Alec and Hilaria invite viewers into the home they share with their seven growing kids.

“For the first time, they’re opening up their family lives and bringing everyone in to join in the non-stop love, laughter and drama,” TLC said.

Some might hear this news and conclude that the star of “30 Rock” and voice of “The Boss Baby” is having a hard time finding movie work following the incident in 2019 in which he fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza with a prop gun on the set of the western movie “Rust.”

Neither the promo video nor the statement from TLC mentioned the incident, although Baldwin is scheduled to stand trial on a charge of involuntary manslaughter July 9 in Santa Fe, N.M.

As the statement from TLC asserts, the Baldwins have certainly made headlines over the years.

Alec had a couple of widely reported run-ins with paparazzi (which they probably deserved) over their intrusions into his private life.

In 2011, he was reportedly removed from an airplane before takeoff when he allegedly refused to obey a request from a flight attendant to turn off his cellphone while he was in the middle of playing the cellphone game “Words With Friends.”

As for Hilaria, she made headlines in 2020 after her claims of having a Spanish heritage were debunked, and she was accused of being an “identity hoaxer.”
