Substack has debuted a mobile editor that will allow writers to edit and publish posts from their iOS.
This has “the most requested feature from creators” since launch of the Substack app in 2022, the company says.
The mobile editor provides simple text and image publishing functionality, with video and podcast posts on the way, it adds.
Android will be offered soon.
The feature has some limitations in its current form. For one, drafts started in the app can only be saved to the app, although Substack plans to work on syncing in-app drafts to the web dashboards in the months to come.
Moreover, published posts cannot yet be edited in the app, although they can be edited from the web after publication.
Also in the offing is the ability to schedule and post previews to the in-app publish flow.
