Wendy's Launches Collab With Gen Z Brand Lonely Ghost

Although she’s definitely a boomer by now, one QSR’s patron saint is all over a hot Gen Z clothing brand like a preteen at a Taylor Swift concert.

Wendy’s just announced its latest merchandise collaboration with trendy Gen Z athleisure company Lonely Ghost.

Per Wendy’s, “the brands teamed up to bring this limited-edition collection to life that’s all about fueling friendships and celebrating community.”

The merch launch follows on the heels of Wendy’s addition of  Saucy Nuggs to its menu last week. The sauce-themed collection contains a heavyweight sweatshirt with “Got the Sauce” emblazoned across the back, sweatpants, T-shirt, a trucker hat featuring Wendy herself wearing the Lonely Ghost logo as a pin, and a sticker pack with various combos of both brand’s logos.

“Our latest launch, Saucy Nuggs, was designed to satisfy Gen Z customers’ cravings for a next-level nugget experience,” said Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. CMO for The Wendy’s Company, in a release. “Our saucy collaboration with Lonely Ghost allows us to celebrate community and being better together with both brands’ fans.”

The collab merch is being promoted via both brands’ social media channels.

The new collection is available now here. But fans better act fast; both the trucker hat and T-shirt were already marked “sold out” at press time.

Beginning today, Wendy’s is also offering an app-only Lonely Ghost Way combo meal. Available until Aug. 7, the combo includes any piece count of Spicy Ghost Pepper Saucy Nuggs, fries, a drink and a side of Ghost Pepper Ranch.

The QSR collab isn’t the first for Lonely Ghost. Since launching in 2019 “to bring inclusivity and positivity into the street wear space,” the brand has also previously joined forces with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream on a “Melt in the Moment” clothing collection, per WWD.
