The Arena Group, publisher of numerous publications, has named Geoffrey Wait as principal financial officer. 

Wait, a CPA, had worked as controller for Simplify Inventions, and has also served at American Axle & Manufacturing, and Grant Thornton LLP.

The hire comes with a $200,000 salary, not counting bonuses, Investing.com reports. The figure could not be independently confirmed at deadline. 

In other recent Arena Group News, Bridge Media Networks, a news-based production company owned by Arena Group owner Manoj Bhargava, has shut down. As previously reported, this has resulted in the layoff of 80 people.  

Bridge Media’s website says that its Newsnet and SportsNews highlights are “off the air and operations have been suspended.” 

Last November, Arena Group Holdings announced a deal to combine with Bridge Media Networks.
