Albuquerque Publisher Purchases 'Santa Fe Reporter'

Ctrl+P Publishing Group has acquired Santa Fe Reporter, an alternative weekly.

The Albuquerque-based company is owned by Pat Davis, a former city council member who founded New Mexico Political Report and later The Paper.

“We bought the Santa Fe Reporter because it’s a paper that doesn’t need fixing,” Davis said, according to Santa Fe New Mexican. “It just needs love. ... There’s nothing that needs to be changed.”

However, interim editor Julia Goldberg is leaving to return to freelancing. Davis plans to hire a permanent editor.

Former owners Richard Meeker and Mark Zusman announced they were selling the property in March. They also own Willamette Week in Portland, Oregon.
