The nights are getting darker and temps growing cooler, thus announcing the arrival of the season of all that is spooky. But QSRs are out in force with some less than scary Halloween-themed LTOs to celebrate the season.
Baskin-Robins announced its Halloween Spooktacular Polar Pizza, which features a chocolate chip cookie topped with Twix Caramel Crunch, M&M’s, Halloween sprinkles and fudge topping.
Burger King has teamed up with Amazon MGM Studio Consumer Products and “The Addams Family” for several new themed menu items. Wednesday’s Whopper is a Whopper topped with Swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, and onions on a purple bun topped with black sesame seeds. Thing’s Rings are onion rings served in Thing-themed packaging. Gomez’s Churro Fries are fried churros coated in cinnamon sugar with chocolate dipping sauce. Lastly, Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake contains soft serve mixed with chocolate cake batter fudge and topped with black and purple cookie pieces.

Chipotle has brought back its Boorito promo, where Rewards Members who show up in costume from 3 P.M. until closing Oct. 31 at their local Chipotle will receive a $6 discounted burrito. The chain also announced it will stay open until midnight at select college town locations across the U.S. on Halloween to accommodate post trick or treat cravings. 2024 also marks the first time the chain is offering the Boorito promotion across Europe in addition to the U.S.
Cold Stone Creamery has joined with the “31 Nights of Halloween” film festival on Freeform TV to launch several new creepy Creations, which if ordered in the Gotta Have It size can be served in a themed “31 Nights of Halloween” cup.
For example, The Trick or Treat is made up of Boo Batter Ice Cream mixed with Kit Kats, Halloween Oreo cookies and M&M’s. The 31 Nights of Monster Mash is Classic Cookie Dough Ice Cream mixed with M&M’s Peanut Butter Minis, oats and chocolate chips. Scaredy Cakes are chocolate cupcakes filled with a layer of Devil’s Food Cake, fudge and Boo Batter Ice Cream, topped with white frosting and Spooky Sprinkles.
IHOP has announced the return of its kid-friendly Scary Face Pancakes, which will be available for purchase for the entire month, but are free for kids 12 and under Oct. 24-Oct. 31 from 4-10 p.m. with the purchase of an adult entrée.
