Indiana Paper Changes Its Publication Schedule

The Winchester (Indiana) News-Gazette is changing its print schedule.

The paper will now publish on Tuesdays and Fridays instead of Tuesdays and Thursdays, according to the owner, The Graphic Printing Company.

Ray Cooney, president, editor and publisher of the News-Gazette, says this will reduce the number of days between the last issue of one week and the first of the next week from four to three.

“It seems like the right time to make this decision that we feel will be beneficial to both our readers and our employees,” Cooney says.

Based in Portland, Indiana, the Graphic Printing Company acquired the News-Gazette and other publications from Community Media Group of West Frankfort, Illinois, in 2023.
