Ankler
Media, the entertainment reporting brand, has launched a business trade focused on the $200 billion creator economy.
Life & Subscribe sends its first issue on
Wednesday. The weekly newsletter will have an introductory price of $129 a year on Substack.
The product will be written by Natalie Jarvey, a veteran entertainment and tech reporter, who most
recently was Hollywood correspondent at Vanity Fair.
The first issue will report on the TikTok ban and its potential impact on the social media landscape.
Jarvey will
also host a live edition of The Ankler podcast on creators, brands and Hollywood at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
“As the definition of entertainment continues
to expand past traditional film and TV in Hollywood, we are committed to leading the conversation around how the creator economy is transforming, and in many ways, driving the world of media and
entertainment,” says Janice Min, CEO and editor in chief of Ankler Media.

Jarvey notes that influencers “are continuing to disrupt the traditional media landscape and the
wide range of industries and platforms that are eager to capitalize on their economic power.”
She adds, “The role of digital creators in the recent presidential election and
the frenzy around the TikTok ban are only further proof of the significance of social media platforms and the undeniable business around them.”
Ankler Media claims 100,000
subscribers for its products and more than 1.3 million podcast downloads.
