This CPG is World Famous and Has an Annual Holiday

Hint: it was created in Italy and its annual celebration is tomorrow. It can also be added to various recipes for breakfast and desserts.

  • One jar of Nutella contains almost 100 hazelnuts. 13% of the recipe for Nutella is made up of hazelnuts, so your 26.5 oz jar contains about 97 nuts, sourced from Turkey, Italy, Chile, and Oregon.

  • Ferrero has gotten very good at making Nutella. The number of jars produced in just 37 seconds equals the length of an Olympic swimming pool!

  • It wasn't always called Nutella. The first recipe developed in 1946 was named 'Giandujot' after a local carnival character, and it was shaped into a loaf that could be sliced. In 1951 the paste was transformed into a creamy new product that was easier to spread known as 'SuperCrema.' When the recipe was improved in 1964 it also got a new name: Nutella!

  • You can visit a cafe that serves dozens of Nutella treats and snacks! At the Nutella Cafe in Chicago, fans can enjoy grilled baguettes with Nutella, flaky Nutella-filled croissants, gelato made with Nutella and many other inspiring items as well as delicious hot beverages.

  • World Nutella Day is February 5! The holiday was invented in 2007 by Italian-American blogger Sara Russo. Fans around the world have celebrated World Nutella Day every year since.
