Conde Nast And Other Publishers To Leverage Amazon's New Alexa+

Condé Nast brands will be part of Amazon’s new Alexa+ AI assistant, the firm announced on Wednesday only hours after Alexa+  was unveiled.

Consumers will be able access a range of content in real-time thanks to Amazon partnerships with Condé Nast, the Associated Press, Reuters, The Washington Post, Time, Forbes, Business Insider, Politico, USA Today, Hearst, Vox and more than 200 additional outlets,  Condé Nast writes.

Powered by AI, Alexa+ can summarize Condé Nast’s content for consumers and link back to its original source. The technology is rolling out over the next few weeks, Amazon says.

The new arrangement builds on Condé Nast’s AI licensing strategy.

“Alexa+ is more conversational, smarter, personalized—and she helps you get things done,” writes Panos Panay, senior vice president of devices,  She keeps you entertained, helps you learn, keeps you organized, summarizes complex topics, and can converse about virtually anything. Alexa+ can manage and protect your home, make reservations, and help you track, discover, and enjoy new artists.”

Panay adds, “At the foundation of Alexa’s state-of-the-art architecture are powerful large language models (LLMs) available on Amazon Bedrock, but that’s just the start. Alexa+ is designed to take action, and is able to orchestrate across tens of thousands of services and devices—which, to our knowledge, has never been done at this scale.
