USA Today has debuted a collection of investigative crime stories titled Witness.
For $4.99 per month, subscribers can “dive into podcast, video content, and captivating articles all in one place,” USA Today says on a website devoted to Witness.
"These are true crime sagas unearthed by our local journalists who spend months, or years, uncovering crime and corruption,” says Monica Richardson, senior vice president of USA Today.
The stories include the murder of Josie Berrios, a transgender woman in New York whose boyfriend allegedly set fire to a construction site where she was sleeping and locked her inside and the travails of Rachel Glass, an Arizona woman who is still seeking answers nearly 15 years after her daughter’s murder.
Subscribers can also access the tale of the Cocaine Bear, the inspiration for a comedy/horror film.
