YouTube Is Website Most Likely To Crash This Year: Report

Website outages can hit anyone at any time. A new report from Baldwin Digital lists the sites most likely to go down this year, based on analysis of their past connectivity issues. 

The 10 websites most likely to suffer a digital blackout in 2025 and their website outage concerns score are:

  1. youtube.com — 39
  2. x.com (formerly Twitter) — 24
  3. canva.com — 20
  4. reddit.com — 19
  5. ebay.com — 19
  6. netflix.com — 17
  7. Spotify -- 13
  8. instagram.com — 12
  9. amazon.com — 10
  10. apple.com — 10 

YouTube’s listing as the most outage-prone website is explained as follows:

“Given that YouTube is the world's second-largest search engine (after Google) and hosts billions of videos streamed by billions of users daily, it's no surprise that server strain can be an issue,” says Mark Baldwin, head of Baldwin Digital. “If YouTube goes dark, expect the internet to be flooded with confused users wondering where to get their fix of cat videos!”

On a happier note, here are the sites least likely to suffer an outage. You’ll note that two major publications are listed. All the entries have a score of—zero.
