Newsweek, Time and "60 Minutes" all featured Miller and played up strong medal expectations. "By the end of the Turin Games, the media representatives were backpedaling more
furiously than a hockey defenseman facing a three-on-one rush by the opposing team," writes Friedman. "Perhaps magazines need to insert warning labels on their lofty predictions."
