A charity called Kars4Kids has been banned from running its broadcast ads, which include an “earworm” jingle, in the state, SF Gate reports. The ruling by an Orange County judge
came after a resident named Bruce Puterbaugh sued the charity’s affiliated organization, saying that the $250 from a car he donated was not going to underprivileged kids in California, as he
believed, but to an Orthodox Jewish organization in New York and New Jersey.
